Jefferson Day

Maria's first big trip happened over the weekend, we made her first visit to Jefferson to celebrate summer birthdays with the family and attend Jefferson Day. It was a very relaxing (and gorgeous) weekend with lots of family and friends around to hold Maria Paul and I got to catch up on sleep and give our arms a rest. Even Aba helped to walk Maria to sleep.

Jefferson Day started out cold and cloudy but when the sun came out it was warm. Carrie and Tim came to Jefferson Day with us-it was both Tim AND Maria's first Jefferson Day and they were equally impressed with it.

The Gallace family was in the parade and afterwards they took advantage of the BBQ.

Oh yeah! Happy first anniversary to us! Last year we got married on Jefferson Day, I think some of you attended the parade last year before the wedding. This is the quilt Mom is making us out of the material that we used at the reception. As of today she's done with the top, now it needs to be quilted. We think she should go into business!

I agree about the quilt business! People would pay big bucks for those! And Happy Anniversary to you both.
