Maria just climbed onto my lap and saw the pictures and said "We're saving them for them for later" she doesn't know I took them to school and they're all gone. So we're getting excited for the 5 day Thanksgiving break. Paul worked overtime today since he has time off next week and Maria and I played and did some shopping. According to Maria she hears monsters outside (the cars on the road), there was a dinosaur in the bathroom (the dryer) who had to go to the store but promised to join us for tea later, and the muffins she "makes" in her kitchen have peas in them. She is quite a character and loves to pretend.

Turkey cookies
Maria gets the magazine "High Five" and in the November issue kids make turkey cookies by tracing around their hands onto sugar cookie dough. Then they frost the cookies to look like turkeys. "I do that Mama?". "Sure, we can do that." 1) Don't use ready made dough it rises too much and they don't look anything like hand prints when they're done. 2) Don't forget to add the baking powder, the cookies aren't as good. 3) Never frost cookies with a two year old, so messy and she ate a lot of frosting.
