Walk with the duck

Today was in the mid 40's and around the time Stella decided that ten minutes was a long enough nap the sun came out bright and strong so we decided it was time for a family stroll. Of course the sun lasted about five minutes and although the girls were bundled carefully Paul and I were mitten-less and coat-less and freezing by the time we got home. Maria would've been out for another half an hour walking her duck through the deep, water filled ditches where chunks of ice are still floating. We stopped twice to say hello to the alpacas as they huddled together munching hay-they have a great puddle next to their pasture. Maria jumped and splashed soaking her tights and getting icy water down her boots as I tried to grab the back of her coat fearing one misstep would find her hands and knees in the slushy, grassy puddle and soaking and crying for the stroller ride home. She had a great time and Stella decided that it was a good time to take her nap. After that the duck needed to warm up so it was bath time for all and now all three, duck included, are in bed.

Happy Pi Day tomorrow!
