Vetran's weekend

Every weekend we say, "Enjoy this weather, it's going to get cold, this is the last of the sunshine and warmth".  And it drops below freezing for a few days and then gives us another day upwards of 50 degrees.  On Vetran's Day we finally dismantled the framework for the tomatoes on the raised bed, picked up all the hoses outside, mowed the lawn one last time, picked the last blossoms in the garden, picked a last handful of lettuce and pulled the carrots.
Maria comparing the largest and smallest carrots.

We left a few in the soil so we could see if they come back in the spring.

The last, late blossoms.
