Since the weather has been warmer and a lot of the snow has melted another favorite activity is to walk up and down and around the house, across the hard packed snow listening to it crunch and to check if the birds have eaten any of the seeds we've put out for them. We've also taken many trips recently to watch the neighboring alpacas eat hay and when she saw an alpaca on the bottom of my alpaca wool socks she said "Paca!". And then she "baaaa-ed" at the sheep on my Common Ground Fair shirt and "Neigh-ed" and the horse on my other shirt and "ROAR-ed" at the lions she saw on Paul's underwear. Nothing escapes her. Today, and yesterday, when we entered the grocery store through the bakery department she said "Cookie!" which puzzled me at first because I had bread in my hand. Sometimes she goes to the grocery store with Heidi though during the day and I wonder if Heidi lets them have a free cookie from the bakery. Then, when the timer went off today for muffins she yelled "Cookie!"-what's going on at daycare anyway? Hope everyone has been enjoying the sunshine!

Naked peek-a-boo
Peek-a-boo continues to be one of Maria's favorite games. This morning as soon as I picked her up out of her crib she requested to "hide". When I told her it was too early she then asked "Outside?". Definitely too early for outside too. Tonight, after her bath, while we tried to corral her into pajamas she darted around her room naked "Hide, hide!". Her favorite spot to hide is between the wall and the end of her crib. When she's settled she will giggle and fidget with anticipation at being found and sometimes peek to see if we're coming.
