We went back to the Nowlans and swam in their pool, welcome relief from the hot sun that we're just not used to. Then we cooked burgers and played in the backyard.
Coming out of the house with my camera I had one of those rare moments when you realize what a great day you're having and how lucky and happy and perfect the moment is. It's not often that we take time to recognize that.
