January-so far

Last weekend we went shopping for a new dining room set. We only have three chairs, one is taken up by the booster seat and one is not going to have a seat pretty soon. This makes having guests over for dinner interesting. The table is old and solid but not special to us and in need of a makeover that we don't have time to give it so we decided to buy a new set. We planned on being very thoughtful and careful about our choice, after all our grandchildren might be eating at it, and then we decided to buy the first one we saw-we liked it that much. This is a picture of the table and the chair designs although neither picture shows the stain color we're getting it in.

Last weekend we had significant but unlasting snow. It was enough for our first snowmen of the season and now we have two snowmen building kits so our man can have a friend.

Maria was really excited to share, no "celebrate!" is her word, Three King's Day with her friends. Hayden and Kaya came over for dinner and had chorizo and manchego and empanadillas with us after school.

Estella has found her toes to be pretty tasty this past weekend. I've seen her with three toes stuffed in her mouth (that's Sarah Tustle, Johnny Rustle and Old Tom Bumblebee) and these pictures were taken after her bath tonight. Maria loved to taste her toes too.
