We are not ones for late night New Year's parties, especially these days when a solid night's sleep is my favorite way to start any day, week or year. Yesterday afternoon we made an impromptu trip to the Dover Ice Arena to take Maria skating for the first time with the Crawns. I was surprised how hard it was for Maria and Eilah to keep their feet underneath them even with a walker helping them out. They kept the smiles on their faces however and Maria's ready to go again today.

We marveled at the hockey players practicing afterwards
and then got some lunch and walked around Dover a little bit admiring the lights on the trees. Last night Paul and I watched a WHOLE movie once the girls were asleep and tonight, if we're lucky, we might do it again! Happy New Year!
