The Nowlan's

Knowing Paul would still be occupied with work I had made plans to visit with the Nowlans yesterday.  It turned out to be a beautiful day, a little cool, very breezy, but sunny.  If you were in the right spot, sheltered from the breeze it was warm enough to cook mud pies and take your coat off-maybe even go barefoot.  We played inside, outside and upside down with Monet, Teelin and Heather.  The kids wandered from mud pies on the back deck made with rain water caught in a sled, the swings tied to low tree branches, rolling down the BIG hill, the slide, the garden, the swing set, the rope swing in the front yard and finally-when I found out the neighboring farm sold honey-we went next door and they continued the fun.  John, the farmer, was home and he gave tractor rides, we fed and pet lots of horses, collected eggs from the chickens and weighed them on an egg scale, bought honey-it was a great day.  Then we headed home and Heather made a great dinner of BBQ chicken, sweet potato fries, asparagus, rolls and butter and homemade pound cake with berry sauce and freshly whipped cream.  We were stuffed and tired!
