Blizzard Nemo

First let's back up a couple of weeks.  We've had some snow on the ground all winter despite a January thaw of 50 degrees for a couple of days but we haven't had a good snow storm in awhile.  So thankful Paul was back from a couple of weeks in CT before this storm!  Here are a few pictures from early this month.  Santa brought Maria an amaryllis and also a root view grower.  Here they are on the windowsill looking out over the frozen landscape.

These are the girls all dressed up to go to my school's performance of Beauty and the Beast.  Stella, doing her own impersonation of a Beast, is ignoring and hiding from the camera.  Grrrrr!

Finally Nemo arrived yesterday.  School's were called off Thursday night.  The girls and I went outside to take some pre blizzard pictures.  Snow angels are easy in a couple inches of powder.

This is February 8th in the morning.

Saturday morning, after snowing and blowing and howling winds all night brought large drifts of powdery snow.  Here is our plow guy arriving for a quick, initial sweep through.

We couldn't wait long after breakfast to check out the snow.  Can't go out this door...

unless Mama throws you out!

February 9th in the morning- it is still snowing however!
