Christmas 2014

As white as Thanksgiving was that is how brown Christmas was.  There were small dots of white here and there but mostly uncovered ground.  In fact, as I write this in mid January, we still haven't had more than passing flurries since Thanksgiving.  On Christmas Eve evening we went to St. Denis for mass.

Of course one of the best things about Christmas is playing with the toys.  Santa brought Stella her own computer and Maria a purple, spinny office chair to go with the desk in her room.
One of the games Santa brought Estella, it's all about balance

One of Estella's special requests.

Maria tried to do everything from her new chair.

Eating and keeping the dog happy at the same time.

We bought Estella a toy called WaterWorks for the bathtub.

Kimmy bought Maria a bunch of duck tape and together they made a duck tape bag.
Over vacation we had a slumber party in our room.  The girls brought their mattresses in our room next to the bed.  It was Estella's favorite spot to curl up with blankets and her books.  Since I was recovering from the stomach flu for several days after Christmas it became one of my favorite places too.
Stella's "cozy spot".
