One day we went to Puete Viejo, the community of Paul's family's old summer house and met up at the house of a friend of Paul's when he used to hang out there during the summer. The girls and I renamed it the Land of the Seven Pools because it has that many and we swam in each one. We stayed late enough to shut down the pools and have some food and drinks in the plaza there.

| We don't know that boy but he's wearing a Spain jersey and adds authenticity to the picture. |
Because our trip was cut short by a couple of days and because we were anticipating Lucas' arrival we didn't go to Denia this year. One day when we were out shopping Yaya got the text that Laura was going to the hospital. After lunch we were preparing to drive her to the hospital to be with Laura and Lupe and as we left the parking lot- we got the message he had been born. We waited until the next day to go and greet him.
It was hot in the city, near 100 most days but we decided to go out into the city and show the girls something of Madrid. They weren't all that impressed but did enjoy the misters under the umbrellas while we ate in Plaza Major and there is nothing more Spanish then plates of tapas and ice cold sangria in the Plaza Major on a hot summer day.
My favorite day of the trip was Segovia on a beautifully cool day! Segovia is so old and beautiful.
