Yesterday Maria got a little dressed up to go and visit her daycare to be. The other baby who'll be there with her, Hayden, came to. Paul and I had been when we were pregnant but it was good to be there again and to see her interact with Heidi, the daycare provider, and the other children who were there. The kids have been talking about babies with Heidi in preparation for the babies' arrival later this fall and they were all excited to have the babies try out the jiggly chair and the other toys.
Maria smiles all the time now, especially in the morning and especially on her changing table. She also coos and gurgles and pays a lot of attention to what you're doing. This is nice because sometimes you can talk her down from a crying fit by singing to her. She weighs about 11 1/2 pounds now! No it's not just the camera adding ten pounds.
This morning, after sleeping for seven hours last night, she was laying on the couch talking to her bear, Sole, and all of a sudden she was asleep. This is why I am blogging right now.
