"Maria"

Weathermen have promised that today will approach 60 in some areas but not at 8:00 am.  That's okay though, the playground at the elementary school in Raymond receives full sun at this time of the morning and although it was a little windy with a hat on it was perfectly warm.  We climbed up the fake stone wall to the top of the slides and slid down many times.  Towards the end the basketballs started coming up to the top with us and then bouncing down.  Maria already wants to go down the slides by herself (these were a little too steep for that) and with a classic no fear attitude she launched herself downwards before I was in position.  In a squat I lunged and caught her by one arm landing on my stomach.  She looked up from her helpless position and giggled as my mind played through images of her launching through the air Calvin and Hobbes style to land six feet away in the sand.  Before we left we left our mark.
