Chester community celebration

The last couple of days we have amused ourselves in the house for most of the morning. Sometimes I can't account for the hours and it seems we must have been bored with a load of laundry and cleaning the counters, combing hair and searching for bits of Play-Doh on the floor yet we weren't. This morning the big excitement was a new container of yellow Play-Doh from Ryan's birthday party and then a big pop up book that Yaya and Grandpa sent for Maria's birthday that we never really opened up all the way until this morning. It has paper dolls that you can stick in the bathtub, a potty lid that lifts up, a toy box that opens and window shades to pull down.
By eleven we decided it was time to leave the house and go to Wason Pond to splash feet. We were surprised by a free BBQ and lots of free entertainment from children, a car being towed and a pair of horseback riders never mind the water and sand. Now comes the beloved quiet of nap. Time to tuck the air conditioners into the windows, I hear our first official heat wave is here.
