Marcy the horse

This morning we took probably our last visit to the UNH Horse barns before summer ends. We fed them carrots and apples and watched the goings on of the people which included a farrier today. Elaine, Kaya and Hayden joined us today though Hayden was a little "shy" (her own words) of the horses and mostly observed. Here we were petting Marcy, a pony used in the Theraputic Riding Program that I've met on many occasions and know to be particularly gentle.
After the horse barns the Miskinis' went home to nap but Maria and I went to the Dairy Bar on campus for sandwiches and ice cream. We were out late last night at Max's birthday party (our last of the summer) and Maria fell asleep early in the car and then at 5:30 this morning got into my bed until almost 8:oo. She was raring to go today!
A few days ago we went to Portsmouth to have lunch in the park with Lauralyn and Susanne and took a picture of Maria and Papi in front of the Naval Yard across the river. Papa had done Maria's hair that day.
Maria resting up before we headed out.
