We also saw a jump roping group's demonstration, watched Balinese dancing and Paul and Maria participated in an African drum circle. We had Indian food for lunch, rode on a train, bounced in the bouncy house and got kind of cold in the end as it started misting. 85 on Saturday, 55 on Sunday. There are no pictures of Estella because we didn't take her out of her car seat much so she'd stay warm. She charmed many people from her seat with her smile though. I got the "I remember when my kids were that little, now my baby is 47" or "You're so lucky, treasure these moments" and "It's so nice when they're that age, you always know where they are".

Newmarket Heritage Festival
On Saturday we went to visit our good friends the Chevaliers at their new home in MA. They have recently moved back to the east coast from CA and after something like ten years it's a little surreal to have them and their kids a little more than an hour away. There are no pictures of our visit because I forgot the camera. At least we had the diaper bag this time though. On Sunday we headed out to the Newmarket Heritage Festival which ended up being a wonderful surprise-they had a lot of interesting shows, activities and demonstrations. In the children's tent kids could try their hand at washing and drying clothes the old fashioned way, Chinese Brush painting, spinning wool, using a huge wheel to sand wood and even forging metal over a fire for the older ones. There were also old fashioned tools to experiment with.
