Maria's kindergarten class put on a play of a gingerbread man-the one that goes "Run, run, as fast as you can! You can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man!". I took that day off from work, did some last minute Christmas shopping in the morning, picked Stella up early and went to Maria's school. Maria played the part of the mower, in other words a farmer who was mowing hay or wheat. After the play everyone got to eat gingerbread cookies and Maria brought home the gingerbread house she had made in class.
