This morning Paul and I brought Maria to school and attended the welcome back to school gathering. We went to Maria's classroom, met her teacher, filled out forms, toured the new playground and visited with some of the parents that we know. Here's our first grader!
She was a little nervous last night but who isn't nervous for the first day of school, even teachers are. I met her getting of the bus today and took some more first day of school pictures. What did she have to say about first grade? Mrs. Mahalaris gave them each a Hershey Kiss, they only have one recess a day and they each have their own desk space.

Yesterday, in the driving rain, we went outside to play. Can't wasted even one day of summer even if it is raining.
