We are so lucky! Friends, food, weather, music, presents! Everything came together perfectly for Maria's first birthday party on the parkway in Exeter. It was a cool, dry, sunny evening, the pizza was delivered without a hitch, the band sang Maria "Happy Birthday", and the presents were a hit. Here are a few pictures from the festivities-we're thinking of making it an annual event!

In the end Maria thought the cake was better if it was mooshed between her toes. We were at the park until almost 9:00 so when we got home-and Maria was so excited she didn't fall asleep in the car-we wiped all the parts that were exposed to sticky cake (still had to read a bedtime story five times) and then she crashed. Thanks everyone for making it such a great evening.
