Sewing with Babcia

Over Mother's Day weekend we went up to Jefferson again and Maria spent awhile watching Babcia on her sewing machine. She got to turn the machine on and off and learned how the pedals make it work.

Yesterday I noticed that Maria is getting freckles across the bridge of her nose and cheeks. I had freckles when I was young. We were outside the other day and I commented on all the birds that were singing. "I hear them." Maria said. "Do you know why the birds sing Maria?" to which Maria said, "The birds are singing so that we can dance!" and so she did.

This week is week 30 for me. Ten more to go until my due date. Since Maria was born at 36 weeks this is potentially not much time left. The good news is I have two more weeks of this online class I'm taking and Paul has the Murphy bed almost completely built. Once those two things are over we'll hopefully have more time to get some other things under control-like the lawn.
