Ending the school year

As the school year wrapped up we had a couple of fun events to attend.  As a whole family we went to Haskel's bar mitsvah, the first bar mitsvah we had ever been to.  It was a long ceremony but we were happy to be a part of it.

Stella spent most of the ceremony curled up on Paul's lap and when it was over was excited to go outside and release some energy.

Following the ceremony there was a lunch with make your own sundaes and a cake that looked like the periodic table.
The following weekend we picked strawberries at Applecrest with Susanne.  Stella and Paul mostly walked up and down every row of berries picking a few here and there and using their shirts as a basket.  The weather was unbelievably beautiful, warm without humidity, breezy but not cold.

That same day we went to Hampton Beach to see the results of the annual sand castle contest.  There were some kites being flown on the beach and it was packed despite being a Sunday afternoon.

The winning sandcastle was a creepy alien so I didn't take a picture of it, this is one of the other ones.

These were a big hit with Estella and Maria however Estella's first question was "Where's Anna?".  They didn't sculpt one of the main characters!
